Oliver Scicluna Responds To ‘Cheap’ Criticism Over Maltese Emails

Oliver Scicluna, former Member of Parliament and current CEO of Agenzija Sapport, addressed recent remarks suggesting he was “cheap” for replying to emails in Maltese.
“I laughed when I heard it,” he said. “Am I considered ‘cheap’ just because I use my own language? To be honest, I feel more comfortable writing in English, as Maltese can be tricky and I sometimes make spelling mistakes it’s never been my strong suit. That said, I will always communicate in Maltese wherever possible. We are fortunate that Maltese is such a unique language.”
