October Begins With Heavy Rain

October has only just begun, yet the Maltese Islands are already feeling the arrival of colder and wetter days. A video shared by Maltese Islands Weather shows streets in Kerċem, Gozo, flooded after heavy rainfall early in the month.
The sudden downpour marks a sharp shift from the long, dry summer that Malta has just left behind. While autumn rains are common at this time of year, the intensity of the showers quickly caused disruption in parts of the village.
Residents are now bracing for more unsettled conditions, as October is known for bringing frequent rainfall and occasional storms across the islands.
