Numerous People Were Injured After Collapse At Ta’ Kola Windmill In Gozo

The historic Ta’ Kola Windmill in Gozo suffered extensive damage after its sails collapsed onto the roof during a routine inspection following the recent storm. Three Heritage Malta staff were injured and taken to Gozo General Hospital for treatment.
Heritage Malta said in a statement, “The safety of our staff and visitors is our top priority. We are deeply concerned about this incident and are taking immediate steps to repair the windmill and prevent further damage.”
Initial assessments show that the wooden structure supporting the sails was severely weakened by the storm, causing the collapse and additional damage to the roof.
