‘Nothing But Thanks To Enemalta Workers & Engineers’, Says Prime Minister

Speaking to journalists, Prime Minister Robert Abela issued another message of gratitude to Enemalta workers and engineers who, in the past days, were working tirelessly to address the various power cuts around the island.

Asked by journalists, Abela said that when he said work and investment needs to be accelerated, he was making reference to the administrative team within Enemalta along with the government internally.

However, he added, the Labour government, under Miriam Dalli, took on an effort of investment into power distribution that was unprecedented in Malta.

He said that in 2013, the government had focused on improving generation, whereas the focus on investment was taken on most notably around 2023.

More still needs to be done, said Abela, but the work that has already taken place has been unprecedented under the leadership of Minister for Energy Miriam Dalli.
