‘Not The Moment To Be Partisan’, Says Minister Glenn Bedingfield

Minister for Home Affairs Glenn Bedingfield said that this is not the moment to be partisan, in reference to the verdict that found Yorgen Fenech not guilty in relation to the assassination of journalist Daphne Caruana Galizia.

‘The Prime Minister was clear about how we need to move forward’, he added, following a press conference called by Prime Minister Robert Abela urging for non-partisanship and a sense of calm and unity as an urgent parliamentary debate is called.

The debate was called by the Nationalist Party, with Opposition Leader Alex Borg set to present the recommendations of the public inquiry and push for their implementation.

The government accepted the request after it was presented to Speaker Carmelo Abela yesterday.
