“Not The Bus Driver’s Fault”: Malta Public Transport On Mosta Accident

Malta Public Transport issued a statement about the road traffic incident involving a Tallinja bus on the 18th of June 2026 in Mosta.

The driver, a 49 year old man resident of Ħal Luqa suffered serious injuries, after the vehicle crashed with an Isuzu van driven by a 49 year old of Ħamrun.

‘An internal investigation was launched immediately, which included review of footage from the CCTV on board the bus’, said Malta Public Transport.

‘The footage indicates that our driver was not at fault in the accident, since he was driving in the correct lane at the correct speed before the collision. Unfortunately, the accident could not have been prevented by our bus driver.’

‘Our thoughts remain with all those who were injured in the incident, and we wish everyone affected a full and speedy recovery’, they added.
