North African Man Repatriated After Trying To Enter Malta With Fake Documents

Immigration Police returned a man from North Africa after he was caught attempting to enter Malta with false documents.
The man was arrested at the Malta International Airport during a document inspection after he arrived from Istanbul.
The man was found to be using a fake identity card. The man admitted in court to the charges brought against him, and was given an effective sentence of imprisonment.
Afterwards, he was held at a detention centre before police arranged for his repatriation.
