Noel Xuereb celebrates 55th birthday with 16-year tradition of giving back

Noel Xuereb Ta’ Susina has celebrated his 55th birthday by continuing a heartwarming tradition that has brought joy to children at Mater Dei Hospital’s Rainbow Ward for the past 16 years.

Every Sunday, Noel provides pizza to the children receiving care at the ward, a gesture he has remained committed to throughout the years.

Even on his birthday, Noel chose to mark the occasion by thinking of others and continuing his weekly act of generosity.

Local charity Puttinu Cares praised Noel for his dedication, thanking him for the kindness and generosity he has consistently shown towards the young patients, their families and the staff at the Rainbow Ward.

“Gestijiet bħal tiegħek jagħmlu differenza kbira u jġibu tbissima meta tkun l-aktar meħtieġa,” the charity said, highlighting the difference such gestures can make during difficult moments.

Over the past 16 years, Noel’s Sunday visits and pizzas have become a meaningful tradition, offering children and their families a moment of comfort and happiness during their time in hospital.

Puttinu Cares wished Noel good health, happiness and everything his heart desires as he celebrates his special milestone.
