“No Prisoner Brought In Any Secret Laptop”, Says Minister Glenn Bedingfield

Local
In a social media statement, Minister for Home Affairs Glenn Bedingfield said that no prisoner brought in a secret laptop into Corradino Correctional Facility, despite rumours.
Bedingfield said that a prisoner was given permission to use a laptop without internet two years ago.
The prisoner was caught using the internet and was immediately held accountable, with an internal inquiry opened to address the crime by Judge Emeritus Dr Antonio Mizzi.
Mizzi was given 30 days to investigate, with the required consequences to be administered after the inquiry has been closed.
