Newly qualified Gunners within the Armed Forces of Malta (AFM) have taken part in a blood donation initiative following the successful completion of their recruitment training, highlighting their commitment to serving the community beyond their military duties.

The initiative was organised with the National Blood Transfusion Service, whose mobile blood donation unit was stationed at Luqa Barracks. Many of the newly qualified Gunners volunteered to donate blood, reinforcing the AFM's dedication to supporting those in need both in and out of uniform.

In a social media post, the Armed Forces of Malta described blood donation as "one of the simplest acts of kindness" and encouraged those who are eligible to become blood donors.

The AFM also thanked the participating Gunners for stepping forward to donate, noting that every donation has the potential to save lives and make a meaningful difference to patients in need of blood transfusions.
