A New Year’s Eve concert will once again take place at Dock No. 1 in the Cottonera, reaffirming its status as one of Malta’s most anticipated events to welcome the start of a new year.

Organised by the Kottonera Foundation, the event has become synonymous with New Year’s Eve celebrations, offering a high-quality cultural experience in a unique historical setting.

Details of this year’s concert were announced during a press conference addressed by Alison Zerafa Civelli, Parliamentary Secretary for Local Government, and Kottonera Foundation Chairperson Joe Mizzi.

This year’s programme will feature performances by Kantera, Matthew James and Ira Losco, with Ray Calleja and Dorianne Mamo presenting the evening.

In addition to live music, the event will include an aerial fireworks display and a spectacular drone show at midnight

Parliamentary Secretary Zerafa Civelli highlighted that the event has firmly established itself in Malta’s cultural calendar, attracting both locals and visitors who choose the Cottonera to ring in the New Year.

She emphasised the government’s commitment to supporting such initiatives, which bring communities together and provide opportunities for Maltese artists.

The concert will take place on 31 December, starting at 8.00pm and continuing into the early hours of 1 January. Extended public transport and ferry services will be in operation to facilitate attendance and reduce traffic congestion.
