New Space Secured For Għaqda Ħbieb Tal-Presepju Malta

The Għaqda Ħbieb tal-Presepju Malta will now have a dedicated place from which it can operate, work and exhibit its artistic and cultural creations, thanks to the official transfer of a property by the Lands Authority.
This development marks an important step in safeguarding and nurturing one of the most traditional aspects of Maltese culture.

The property in question, located in Melita Street with access also from Mikiel Anton Vassalli Street in Valletta, had until now been under the responsibility of the Lands Authority. Through this agreement, the dream of the Għaqda Ħbieb tal-Presepju Malta to have its own space has become a reality. The site has been transferred on a lease agreement for a period of fifteen years.
The Minister for Culture, Lands and Local Government, Owen Bonnici, described this project as another step towards the preservation and promotion of the heritage that makes our country unique. Minister Bonnici explained that this move can be considered a new chapter for the Għaqda Ħbieb tal-Presepju Malta, one that offers more opportunities, work and action in favour of what defines us as Maltese.
The transfer was signed by the Chief Executive of the Lands Authority, Robert Vella, and Andrew Spiteri in his capacity as President of the organisation.
