New SEM Office Opens To Help Malta Grow with EU Funds

Between January and September 2025, Servizzi Ewropej f’Malta and its partner authorities held 27 information sessions across Malta and Gozo, reaching farmers, fishers, businesses, and voluntary organisations.
The agency’s team conducted over 400 one-to-one meetings, handled more than 1,000 information requests, and supported around 120 funding applications.
Minister for European Funds and the Implementation of the Electoral Programme, Stefan Zrinzo Azzopardi, hailed SEM’s ongoing success, describing it as “the human face of EU funds,” offering guidance, support, and opportunities to those striving to make a difference.
Minister Zrinzo Azzopardi also praised SEM’s Chief Executive, Rodrick Zerafa, and his team for their tireless work, noting the agency’s Public Service Quality Award 2025 win and its selection to represent Malta at the European Enterprise Promotion Awards in Copenhagen this November.
As Zerafa put it, the new office entrance reflects SEM’s ethos;welcoming, collaborative, and focused on empowering every citizen and organisation to make the most of European funding opportunities.
