New Maltese Play ‘Min Jidħak l-Aħħar’ To Take To The Stage This September

A new original Maltese play exploring friendship, love and the power of humour in the face of mortality is set to premiere at Theatre Next Door this September.
Min Jidħak l-Aħħar, written by André Mangion and directed by Chiara Hyzler, will be presented by Nikolai Azzopardi Productions between 18th and 27th September.
The play follows Renata, Iris and Helena, three women whose lives unexpectedly intersect while undergoing treatment for cancer.
As strangers become friends, the women share their fears, frustrations and hopes, while finding unexpected reasons to laugh despite the difficult circumstances they face.
While tackling the subject of death, Min Jidħak l-Aħħar places equal focus on life and the choices people make when confronted with its fragility.
Through humour, warmth and humanity, the production explores how friendship can emerge in even the most challenging of circumstances.
The cast includes Antonella Mifsud, Chantelle Micallef Grimaud, Marceline Galea, Moira Vassallo and Ilaria Costa.
The production is supported by Arts Council Malta and will run across six performances at Theatre Next Door.
