New Footage Shows Intensity Of Yesterday’s Marsa Industrial Blaze

An official press release issued yesterday warned the public to stay away from the industrial area in Marsa due to an ongoing fire. Residents living nearby were advised to keep windows and doors closed and to limit any unnecessary travel.
Officials explained that smoke exposure can lead to a variety of health symptoms. These may include coughing, shortness of breath, irritated or burning eyes, and soreness of the throat, along with possible headaches, dizziness, fatigue and congestion of the nose or sinuses. The measures announced were taken to minimise the risk of smoke inhalation and safeguard public health while the situation remains active.
This morning, Civil Protection Malta is still responding to the industrial fire in Marsa; however, Triq Guseppi Garibaldi has now been reopened in both directions.
