New Bronze Santa Katarina Statue At Żurrieq Warehouse

A new bronze statue of Santa Katarina has been installed at the Decorations Warehouse in Triq Dun Vinċenz Schembri in Żurrieq, following the work of the Decorations Subcommittee and several dedicated supporters.

The statue was placed in the niche of the warehouse façade, adding a new artistic feature to the building.

The work was created based on a painting by artist Pawlu Camilleri Cauchi, which forms part of the artistic ceiling at the Ġużeppi Gauci Hall inside the Santa Katarina V.M. Musical Society’s club.

The hand modelling and bronze casting process were carried out abroad, resulting in a detailed new piece dedicated to the patron saint.

The Santa Katarina V.M. Musical Society thanked Notary Reuben Collins, who generously gifted the statue to the society.

The society expressed its appreciation to all those involved in the project.
