New AFM Recruits In Uniform For 2nd Week Of Training

The Armed Forces of Malta have reported strong progress among recruits undergoing the second week of Recruitment Intake 261, following an intensive training programme focused on discipline, fitness, and core military skills.
In an official update, the AFM stated that the week was “packed with intensive training activities” aimed at improving recruits’ physical endurance, discipline, and understanding of military life.
Daily physical training sessions challenged recruits to build strength and stamina, while changing parades and inspections reinforced standards of appearance, precision, and discipline.
Drill training also continued to advance, with basic movements becoming more natural and coordinated across the intake. Additionally, recruits were introduced to Skill at Arms lectures, allowing them to begin familiarising themselves with the firearms used by the Armed Forces.
The AFM noted “significant progress” throughout the week and wished recruits continued success as their training intensifies in the weeks ahead.
