Nationalist Party Proposes €1,000 Skills Wallet For All Over 18 Year Olds

The Nationalist Party have proposed a €1,000 Skills Wallet, which is updated every 3 years, for every Maltese citizen over the age of 18 years.
The Wallet would be available for anyone, no matter whether they study, work at home or are self-employed, and would not require any applications, means tests or bureaucracy. The money would be granted before the course begins to ‘remove the financial obstacles’.
The wallet, the party explained, would pertain to the individual and not to the employer so that the eligible person can decide for themselves. The wallet would be universal so that anyone, whether a plumber, a mother caring for the home, a pensioner or a student can receive the €1,000.
