Nadur Spontaneous Carnival Hosted by Malta Daily is Back in a Few Days

The Nadur Spontaneous Carnival hosted by Malta Daily is back in just a few days, returning to the streets of Nadur, Gozo from 13 to 15 February for one of the most distinctive celebrations on Malta and Gozo’s cultural calendar.
Over three days, Nadur transforms into a living showcase of creativity and community. Known for its spontaneous nature, the carnival is driven by self-made costumes, improvised floats, music and performance, with participants and spectators blending into one shared experience. Each edition reflects the moment it exists in, offering satire, humour and artistic freedom that have become synonymous with Nadur’s carnival identity.
What sets the Nadur Spontaneous Carnival apart is its raw and inclusive character. There is no single stage or centrepiece. Instead, the village itself becomes the backdrop, allowing creativity to unfold naturally across its streets and squares. This organic format has seen the event grow year after year, attracting thousands while maintaining its grassroots spirit.
Hosted by Malta Daily and supported by the Ministry for Gozo and Planning, the Parliamentary Secretariat for Local Government, the Local Government Division, Visit Malta, Lighthouse Supermarket and the Nadur Local Council, the event continues to highlight Gozo’s role as a hub for alternative cultural expression.
The countdown is on. Nadur awaits.
