Nadur Local Council Shares Important Measures Ahead Of Spontaneous Carnival
Local

The Nadur Local Council has issued a list of important measures for all those attending the Spontaneous Carnival this weekend.

Here are the measures, aimed at ensuring a safe, respectful, and enjoyable carnival for all:

On every night of Carnival, no vehicles other than carnival floats will be allowed to enter areas where crowds are present or the central streets hosting the Spontaneous Carnival.

On Friday, Monday and Tuesday evenings, these areas will be exclusively reserved for spontaneous masks and performances. As a result, no big floats or vehicles will be permitted during these times.

On Carnival Saturday, floats will be allowed in the main square, but only those presenting a carnival-themed performance may move, so they can be enjoyed by everyone.

On Carnival Sunday, floats will be placed in a designated area agreed in advance with the local Council and will remain stationary throughout the event, without moving among the crowd.

From this edition, law enforcement will take firm action without exception against anyone who:

  • Throws any material directly at the public from any location;
  • Uses materials that may cause damage to public or private property.

The use of fire will not be permitted under any circumstances.
