NADUR GOZO CARNIVAL OFFICIALLY KICKS OFF

On Sunday afternoon, the main square in Nadur, Gozo, came alive as a large crowd gathered to kick off the annual carnival celebrations. The event featured a packed programme celebrating artistic expression and local cultural traditions.
Highlights included performances by children and adult dancers, live music from the band, singing, masked performers, floats, playful banter, and an overall vibrant carnival atmosphere. Visitors were treated to a mix of organised entertainment and spontaneous carnival fun.
The festivities will continue throughout the week, with the much-anticipated Nadur Spontaneous Carnival taking place from 13–15 February. Known for its unfiltered energy, bold costumes, satirical performances, and improvised floats, the carnival attracts thousands of locals and visitors alike each year.
Organised by Malta Daily in collaboration with G7 Events, Nadur Carnival has earned a reputation as one of the most unique celebrations on the islands. Attendees can expect lively DJs, daring performances, and an unforgettable display of creativity and controlled chaos in the streets of Nadur.
