Moviment Graffiti have released a statement calling for the inclusion of hybrid work for employees to achieve better work-life balance, improve traffic conditions, create stronger support for families, and prioritise mental health.

In a post on their Facebook, the NGO explained how “with over 454,000 registered vehicles on our roads, traffic is choking our towns.”

“Fewer daily commutes mean less gridlock, lower emissions, and more liveable streets,” they continued.

On top of this, they stated that “hybrid work gives families flexibility: fewer school-run pressures, more presence at home, and a fairer division of parenting duties,” along with offering an “an easy, effective solution: cutting commute stress and giving people greater control over their workday.”

Moviment Graffiti is calling for mandatory legislation which gives employees the right to request hybrid work, along with a strong framework protecting these workers.

The NGO concluded this statement by recognising that it is not a possible shift for all sectors and jobs.
