28-Year Old Motorcyclist Seriously Injured in Swieqi Traffic Accident

A 28-year-old man from St Paul’s Bay was seriously injured in a traffic accident in Swieqi yesterday morning.

The incident occurred at around 11:30am on Triq Sant’ Andrija, when police assistance was requested following a report of a traffic accident.

According to preliminary information, the man was riding a Suzuki motorcycle when, for an as-yet unknown reason, he lost control of the vehicle and fell.

A medical team provided assistance to the motorcyclist at the scene before he was taken to hospital by ambulance for further treatment.

He was later certified as having suffered serious injuries.

Police investigations into the circumstances surrounding the accident are ongoing. Authorities are expected to establish what led to the rider losing control of the motorcycle and whether any other factors contributed to the incident.

Motorists and other road users are urged to exercise caution, particularly when travelling on busy roads, while the investigation continues.
