Mother Launches Foundation For Parents Who Lost Their Children

After the tragic loss of her son Mattias, Nicki Farrugia Mangion revealed that she is officially launching the Wings of Hope Foundation.

The foundation is to be a ‘safe, compassionate community where parents and guardians, who have lost a child can connect, heal, and find strength together.’

‘A space belt on understanding, the kind that only comes from shared experience’, she wrote. ‘This is for Mattias, whose strength, resilience, and spirit continue to guide me.’

This comes after she graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Youth and Community Studies from the University of Malta.

‘When academics were asked to nominate an inspiring graduate, for Prof. Maria Pisani, Head of the Department of Youth & Community Studies, this year's choice was an easy one’, the University wrote in an official statement.

‘Nicki chose to carry her pain as she chose to finish her degree and submit her thesis. Every peer, colleague and lecturer is in awe of Nicki’s strength and wish her all the very best.’
