Mosta Philarmonic Society Sets Off For 'Historic' Trip To Spain

The Nicolò Isouard Philharmonic Society of Mosta has travelled to Spain for a series of musical and religious events in the Andalusian region, taking place between 30 October and 2 November.
The visit marks the band's fourth international musical engagement and will see it perform in both Seville and Cantillana. One of the main highlights will be a vocal and instrumental concert at the Basílica de la Esperanza de la Macarena in Seville on Saturday 31 October.
The band has also been invited to take part in the traditional Santísimo Rosario procession in Cantillana, followed by a concert at the town's parish church. Through these performances, the society hopes to showcase Malta's musical traditions and represent Mosta on an international stage.
Founded in 1871, the society is celebrating 155 years of history this year. The trip is supported by Visit Malta, Arts Council Malta, the Social Causes Fund, Reġjun Tramuntana, Mosta Local Council and Brittania Tours.
