Moscow Must Hear This Word

Ukrainian President Zelensky has condemned a new wave of Russian attacks on Ukrainian cities, calling them deliberate strikes against civilians and an attempt to undermine international efforts for peace.
He described the strikes as “demonstrative” of Russia’s intentions, and said attacks hit Kharkiv, Zaporizhzhia and Sumy, destroying homes and critical infrastructure. In Kharkiv, a drone strike killed seven people, including a one-and-a-half-year-old girl, and injured dozens more.
Zaporizhzhia was also struck by missiles, leaving three dead and twenty injured. An entire family including a toddler and her 16-year-old brother were among the seven killed in Khariv.
Zelensky also noted that a Russian strike in Odesa targeted an energy facility owned by an Azerbaijani company, framing it as an attack not only on Ukraine but also on its international partnerships and energy security.
The timing of the attacks, he argued, was intentional. “They are aware that a meeting is taking place today in Washington that will address the end of the war,” Zelensky said, referring to talks involving U.S. President Trump, NATO leaders, and European allies. Despite this, UK Prime Minister is suggesting that the UK will back Ukraine without requiring a ceasefire as a prerequisite.
He warned that Russian President Vladimir Putin is using civilian casualties as a tool to pressure Ukraine and its allies: “Putin will commit demonstrative killings to maintain pressure on Ukraine and Europe, as well as to humiliate diplomatic efforts.”
Zelensky stressed that Ukraine needs reliable security guarantees and urged against rewarding Russia for its aggression. His message was firm and direct: “The war must be ended.”
