More Foreigners Living In Sliema Than Maltese People

In a parliamentary question, Minister of Finances, Clyde Caruana stated that out of the 22,730 residents living in Sliema, only 10,284 of them are Maltese.
The other 12,446 are of foreign descent, meaning that 54.75% of Sliema residents are not Maltese. Over half of the Sliema population is foreign.
According to Caruana, these numbers are taken from an NSO Malta study conducted at the end of 2024.
