Moment CPD Officials Jump In Water To Rescue Man In Distress

Civil Protection Malta released footage of the moment rescuers entered rough waters beneath Fort St Elmo to reach an individual who had fallen in and found trouble reaching the shore.
The incident took place on Wednesday late afternoon, with rescue teams from Fire Stations2 and 5 immediately dispatched upon the distress call was received.
The individual was located and safely removed using a CPD RHIB, and he was transported to the Armed Forces of Malta base at Haywharf, where he was assessed on site by an Emergency Department team.
He was subsequently admitted to Mater Dei Hospital for further medical care.
