Minister Silvio Schembri Attends EU Digital Affairs Council In Luxembourg

Minister for the Economy, Technology and Strategic Projects Silvio Schembri is currently in Luxembourg for a meeting of EU ministers responsible for telecommunications and digital affairs.

The meeting comes during the final month of the Cypriot Presidency, with discussions focusing on how European countries are aligning efforts to ensure that every member state implements its own business wallet.

“Just one month ago, Malta implemented this system and, together with Portugal, we are among the only countries where the business wallet is already operational,” Minister Schembri said.

“This demonstrates the importance of remaining visionary and staying one step ahead. By doing so, we can continue to guarantee a strong, sustainable and efficient economy,” he added.
