Minister Julia Farrugia Thanks CPD and Assures Roads Clean up

Minister Julia Farrugia took to social media to address the situation in Rabat and surrounding areas, where streets were left covered in a thick layer of ice following severe weather conditions.
In her statement, Farrugia thanked all those involved in keeping residents and motorists safe throughout the night, including members of the Civil Protection Department, other emergency responders, and ministers.
While acknowledging that the icy conditions created scenes that resembled snowfall, much to the delight of children, the minister stressed that clean-up operations must take priority to ensure the safety of both residents and drivers.
Minister Farrugia also explained that she is currently substituting for Minister Anton Refalo, who is abroad, and is therefore temporarily responsible for matters related to agriculture.
She urged farmers to get in touch as of Monday in order to assess the extent of any damage caused to their land and crops as a result of the adverse weather conditions.
