Minister Glenn Bedingfield Visits Injured Police Officers At Mater Dei Hospital

Glenn Bedingfield, Minister for Home Affairs and Security, is currently at Mater Dei hospital visiting the policemen injured in today’s shooting.
Omar Sharif and Johann Vella were confirmed as the victims in the incident which occurred earlier today after one of the assailants attempted to set fire to a group of construction workers.
Upon entering the scene, one officer was shot and became trapped inside the building. Additional officers were deployed to assist, during which a second officer was also shot.
One of the injured officers is currently in critical condition and fighting for his life.
