Minister Glenn Bedingfield Launches ‘Irrid Nisma’’ Initiative To Hear Residents’ Concerns

Minister for Home Affairs and Security Glenn Bedingfield has launched a new initiative, "Irrid Nisma’" , aimed at giving residents the opportunity to meet with him personally and discuss concerns, ideas and proposals related to safety in their localities.

The first session was held in Sliema, where residents and representatives of residents' associations met individually with the Minister.

Many of the discussions focused on law enforcement and public order, while the Police Community project was highlighted as a well-received initiative that the government intends to continue building upon.

Speaking after the meetings, Bedingfield said the initiative was born from his belief that the best policies are shaped by listening to people. Before meeting residents, he also held talks with Sliema Mayor John Pillow, with a report from the discussions set to be reviewed alongside the Local Council.

The "Irrid Nisma’" initiative will continue in localities across Malta over the coming weeks and months, allowing more residents to share their views directly with the Minister.
