Police received a report yesterday after a person allegedly smashed the window of a parked vehicle in Triq is-Swieqi at around 5.30am.
CCTV footage was analysed as part of the investigation, leading police to identify the location where the suspect had been staying. However, he had already left the property when officers arrived.
Further investigations led police to the suspect, who was arrested in Floriana at around 5pm, just hours after the incident.
The 20-year-old is expected to be arraigned before Magistrate Dr Gabriella Vella LL.D. at around 11.45am today.
