'Mini Santorini:' Opportunity To Make Għar Lapsi More Picturesque, Says Lee Buġeja Borġ

Lee Buġeja Bartolo, a former PN candidate for the European Parliament, has proposed a plan for Għar Lapsi rehabilitation.

“With some effort, we can take the opportunity to transform Għar Lapsi into a more picturesque zone… a Mini Santorini of sorts.”

Following Storm Harry, the beloved spot underwent severe damage, resulting in the need for a plan to restore the sight. A public consultation is currently ongoing to get the public’s opinion on how the government should proceed.

Lee Buġeja Borġ proposed the possibility of using an architectural style that respects nature, “a vision where we marry what is built and what is natural.”

"It will be the first step towards a vision that Malta has long deserved after many years of neglect. A vision in which the built environment and the natural environment are brought together."
