A new national record has been set in Malta for the country’s longest kebab skewer. The impressive culinary creation measured 12.77 metres in length and weighed 40 kilograms.

The record-breaking kebab was prepared live during Bonġu Malta in Ħamrun by Mr Michael Fava and his dedicated team, known for their participation in village feasts and local events under the Golden Star canopy.

The Malta Records organisation confirmed the achievement, noting that the kebab made from minced meat, onions, and other traditional ingredients was carefully covered in foil and cooked on-site to meet timing and safety standards.

The event drew attention from locals and food enthusiasts alike, celebrating Maltese creativity and teamwork. The Malta Records team thanked Fava and his crew for the remarkable effort and announced that their next record attempt will take place during Bonġu Malta in Mosta next Sunday.
