Metsola Visits US Department Of Energy To Discuss Energy And Regulatory Cooperation

Roberta Metsola, President of the European Parliament, expressed her gratitude to the US Department of Energy for their warm welcome in Washington, following a productive meeting in Brussels last month.
In a post on X, Metsola highlighted the discussions she held with Secretary Wright, focusing on Europe’s efforts to reduce remaining energy dependencies on Russia, as well as the EU’s ongoing drive to simplify and streamline regulations.
“Good discussions on Europe’s moves to divert our remaining energy ties away from Russia and the EU’s drive to make our regulation simpler and easier,” Metsola wrote, emphasising the importance of transatlantic cooperation.
