As part of the company’s monthly CSR programme, Meridianbet made a donation to Żibel which funded a recent ghost net recovery operation. Ghost nets, abandoned or lost fishing gear, pose a serious threat to marine ecosystems, entangling fish, turtles, and other sea life while also damaging fragile habitats.The results of the initiative speak for themselves, with divers successfully removing harmful debris from Maltese waters. By recovering ghost nets, Żibel reduces long-term environmental damage and helps restore balance to the sea.
