Meridianbet Highlights a Year of Community & Environmental Impact in 2025

Meridianbet’s 2025 was marked by a number of community-focused initiatives, with the company continuing to invest in social impact, environmental care, and support for local NGOs. Across Malta, several projects stood out for their contribution to people, health, and the environment.
Supporting Inspire Malta Through Football & Local Events
One of the standout efforts this year was Meridianbet’s ongoing support for Inspire Malta.
In February, the company organised the Meridianbet Cup, a 5-a-side charity tournament at Luxol, with all participation fees donated to Inspire to aid its specialised services for children and individuals with disabilities.

This collaboration grew further during the Meridianbet FA Trophy through the “Every Goal Matters” initiative. The campaign pledged €100 for every goal scored from the quarter-finals onwards, increasing to €200 per goal for the semi-finals and final. The initiative eventually raised €2,800 for Inspire Malta, helping fund therapy and support programmes.
Environmental Push: Żibel, Marine Protection & Local Conservation

Environmental protection remained a strong theme throughout the year.
Meridianbet supported Żibel in a series of environmental projects, including underwater clean-ups and recycling initiatives aimed at reducing waste in Malta’s waters.
A key highlight was the company’s backing of a ghost-net recovery operation, where abandoned fishing gear, a major hazard to marine life, was removed by divers from Maltese coastal areas.
Community Health & Awareness
Meridianbet also took part in several health-oriented activities.
In April, employees joined the Puttinu Cares Good Friday Walk, taking part in one of Malta’s most recognised fundraising events.

June saw the continuation of the company’s annual World Blood Donor Day initiative, where Maltese employees supported the national blood donation system as part of a wider, international campaign.
Health Awareness Beyond Malta
While not a Malta-based activity, Meridianbet’s global CSR programme also included breast cancer awareness efforts in other territories, promoting early detection and access to screenings.
Sustainability on a Wider Scale
Midway through the year, Meridianbet’s involvement in 80+ sustainability projects completed across the group in one quarter, covering clean-ups, resource-saving initiatives, and environmental education, further reinforcing the brand’s long-term commitment to responsible and community-driven practices.
Looking Ahead
With continued collaborations across health, environmental protection, and disability support, Meridianbet’s 2025 CSR footprint reflects a consistent effort to contribute meaningfully to Malta’s community.
As the company moves into 2026, these partnerships and initiatives remain central to its vision of responsible and socially conscious business.
