MEP Thomas Bajada announced that his and his team’s pilot project ‘promoting financial literacy in the Union’ is becoming reality after it passed voting.

Bajada issued a video explaining the aim behind the project, saying that the project seeks to help many people who feel lost when it comes to finances.

‘To name a few, this project aims to seek how to help citizens to understand opportunities better, risks and the benefits of investments.’

‘Think a bit how retired people can benefit from it, who with this scheme can understand potential scams.’

Or the role of youths in all this, Bajada said, who with this scheme we are seeing that it can also incorporate Erasmus+ or help them discover opportunities for investment.’

‘Together with my fellow MEP colleague @jonasferdez, we’re working to make financial knowledge more accessible to everyone across Europe.’
