MEP Alex Agius Saliba To Report Peter Agius To Petitions Council Over Alleged False Video

MEP Alex Agius Saliba released a statement where he stated he is planning to report Peter Agius over the footage allegedly showing a damaged wastewater outfall pipe and untreated discharge at Ras il-Ħobż, Gozo.

The Water Services Corporation dispatched professional divers who did not find any damage to the pipe, stating “what is depicted in the circulated footage does not reflect the situation on site.”

Underwater footage recorded by the dive team has been attached to the press release as evidence.

MEP Alex Agius Saliba has now taken to social media, stating that he “is going to be writing to the Committee of Petitions to take note and action against the action of a Maltese MEP who does not waste one opportunity to damage our country.”

He emphasised that the video by Waste Services Corporation doe snot show any infrastructural damage at Ras il-Ħobs.

Agius Saliba concluded, “How can you lie to damaged your country’s reputation?”
