Meet The 6 Dogs Up For Adoption Who Made A Super Cup Final Cameo

Animal welfare took centre stage ahead of kick-off at the BOV Super Cup Final, as the event supported a fundraising initiative in aid of the Malta Society for the Protection and Care of Animals (MSPCA) and aimed at promoting dogs currently up for adoption and encouraging the public to adopt rather than buy.

Making an appearance at the match were these adorable dogs, each with their own personality and cute-factor!

You had 10 month old mixed-breed Diego, who loves dribbling toys across the floor, and Maradona, appropriately named after the football legend.

Then there’s Poppy, who’s all about her zoomies and has the nickname ‘Miss Wiggles-a-lot. Sir Isaac Newton Jr. loves fallen treats, naps and snuggles, while Pixie’s playfulness makes her the greatest for snuggling.

And finally, but definitely not last, Tequila, who is a true gentle giant who will remind you how special second chances can be!

The initiative was organised in collaboration with the Malta Football Association, MSPCA, the Hon. Parliamentary Secretary Alicia Bugeja Said, and the Office of the Commissioner for Animal Welfare.

Donations collected during the event will go towards supporting the care and rehabilitation of rescued animals, while also raising awareness about adoption as a responsible and life-changing choice.
