McDonald’s Malta Introduces Adorable Lulu The Sloth For A Very Special Cause

An adorable new arrival has landed at McDonald’s Malta, and it's all for a very special cause!

Meet Lulu the sloth, the friendly face of McHappy Day 2026, who's on a mission to spread happiness, encourage kindness and help children and families in need.

Launched on 19th October, this year's McHappy Day campaign is inviting customers across Malta and Gozo to make a difference while taking home an adorable new companion.

For a donation of just €12, customers can get their very own Lulu the sloth plush toy, available at all McDonald’s restaurants while stocks last.

Those wishing to contribute can also donate through various ways, including donating their McDonald’s loyalty points through the McDonald’s app, through the purchase of a Happy Meal® and at all McDonald's outlets.

All funds raised through McHappy Day will go towards Ronald McDonald House® Malta, an independent foundation dedicated to supporting children and families facing health and developmental challenges.

One of the foundation's key initiatives is its Learning Centre in Qawra, an autism-friendly space offering specialist learning, therapeutic and developmental support to children, alongside practical guidance for their families.

And the celebrations don't stop there!

On 31st October and 1st November, McDonald’s restaurants across Malta will be hosting a variety of fun, family-friendly activities as part of the McHappy Day celebrations.

McDonald’s Malta also supports Ronald McDonald House® Malta throughout the year through contributions linked to Happy Meal purchases.

Whether it's by taking Lulu home, donating loyalty points or joining the celebrations, everyone has an opportunity to make a difference.

After all, sometimes even the smallest gestures can bring the biggest smiles!
