MATSEC Exams Postponed Due To Upcoming General Election

Prime Minister Robert Abela has announced the general election, taking place on the 30th of May 2026.
MATSEC released a statement that all exams taking place on election day will be rescheduled , “to ensure the smooth conduct of examinations while accommodating national electoral requirements.”
SEC Art (Paper 1) will instead be held on the 1st of June, along with Paper 2 being moved to the next day.
Intermediate Art (Paper 1) and Advanced Art (Paper 2) will also be moved to the 1st of June.
Additionally, two examinations set to be held on the 29th of May will have a change of venues due to schools being used as voting spots.
