MasterChef Finalist Reflects On Demands Of Firefighter Work

Leigh Spiteri Chircop, known for making it to the MasterChef Malta Season 3 Grand Final, is also a firefighter, and just shared a post reflecting on the demands of his Civil Protection work.

‘Heading straight into heavy smoke and high heat, securing a safe outcome for every member of the family, and taking a moment on the pavement to catch your breath and reset’, he wrote, sharing photos from their latest operation.

‘The adrenaline, the focus, the physical push it all comes down to making sure everyone makes it out safe. This isn’t just a job it’s a calling.’

This came after a fire was reported in the common area of a block of apartments in Żebbuġ. One elderly resident had to be safely rescued using a turntable ladder, with two cats and a dog also being rescued.
