A massive explosion shook Malta this morning, with the source reportedly coming from the Magħtab area.
The explosion was heard early in the morning, with a column of smoke visible from many spots around the island.
According to the Civil Protection Department, speaking to Times of Malta, the explosion was reportedly caused by a fireworks factory explosion.
It is unknown if any casualties were involved. Authorities are reportedly on site.
