Marsaxlokk Listed In Forbes’ 50 Most Beautiful Villages 2025

Forbes listed Marsaxlokk as one of the World’s 50 Most Beautiful Villages 2025, after Lewis Nunn asked journey curators for their opinions on the most notable landmarks.

And right at Number 50 is Malta’s iconic seaside locality of Marsaxlokk, with the editorial highlighting the town’s character.

‘Colourful luzzus bob gently in Marsaxlokk’s sunlit harbour, their painted eyes watching over crates of fresh swordfish and octopus hauled in by fishermen’, the editorial explains.

‘Meanwhile, along the promenade, seafood restaurants sizzle with garlicky aromas—as locals haggle at the bustling Sunday market: overflowing with prickly pears, lacework, and jars of honeyed ġbejna.’

‘A short walk, however, leads to St. Peter’s Pool—where cliff jumpers plunge into turquoise waters and sunbathers sprawl across limestone ledges.’
