A set of photos shared onto social media by Jeannot Kuenzel shows the Marsa industrial fire being visible from satellite imagery.
The photo shows the island from space, with a long stream of smoke emerging from one of its sides amidst the clouds.
Civil Protection Malta reported that they are still fighting the now controlled fire, with health authorities issuing a health warning for residents and commuters.
