TV and radio presenter and educator Mark Azzopardi has paid an emotional tribute to five-year-old Logan and his father Gregory, who tragically lost their lives in a boating incident in Ġnejna Bay.

Azzopardi, who works at St Paul’s Bay Primary School, where Logan was a student, described the young boy as “one of ours,” highlighting the close bond shared within the school community.

In a heartfelt post, Azzopardi said that every child who walks through the school's doors becomes part of its family, adding that the community is now grieving for Logan and his father, who were taken together in the tragedy.

Azzopardi also revealed that the loss is particularly personal for him, as he had been a family friend for many years.

Addressing Logan’s mother Pam, his brother and sister, and the wider family, Azzopardi expressed his deepest sympathies and assured them that the school community would continue to be there for them for as long as they needed support.

“Rest in peace, Logan and Gregory,” he concluded.
