Man Wanted By Police For Mobile Theft Arrested In St Paul’s Bay

Yesterday, at around 1000hrs, a 22 year old man who was wanted by police for the robbery of a mobile around a month ago, was spotted by Patrol & Community Support officers during their routine inspections in St Paul’s Bay.
The man was spotted in a local shop, with the officials requesting assistance from colleagues.
Police convened on site, with 8 packets of drugs suspected to be heroin found on the man’s person.
Police conducted further searches in the man’s residence in Ħaż-Żebbuġ, which yielded further drugs suspected to be cannabis.
The man was arrested on site and is expected to taken to court in the coming days.
