Man Filmed Illegally Dumping Waste In Marsa Identified Within 24 Hours

The Malta Police Force reported that the man who was filmed illegally dumping waste in Triq is-Serkin, Marsa, was identified within 24 hours of the footage being shared.
The man was reportedly spoken to and he admitted to his actions. He was informed, the police stated, that charges will be issued against him.
The footage was shared by Marsa mayor Luke Farrugia, showing a man and a child dumping rubbish in the street.
The man did later however issue a response video, calling out the decision to share the video and showing him as well as people insulting a seven year old child.
He urged the council to invest more resources in improving the site and more waste bins and/or facilities to dispose of the waste at.
